General information

Der Zimmermeister Heinrich Schütte baute nach seiner Lehr- und Gesellenzeit im Bauhandwerk einen Zimmereibetrieb und ein Sägewerk in Hohnstorf/ Elbe Nr. 34 auf. Das Gelände der Werkstatt umfasste damals einfache Holzschuppen und das Sägegatter. Das heute noch bestehende Backsteingebäude wurde 1959 durch den Sohn des Gründers und Architekten Dieter Schütte geplant und gebaut.

Heute ist die Alte Sägerei ein Ort der Kreativität und des Wohlfühlens. Idyllisch im Dorf Hohnstorf bietet der Charme des Alten im modernen Gewand einen perfekten Rückzugsort.
